DevOps Engineer for Mechatronics solutions, B&R Automation

This position reports to

Team Lead

Your role and responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for developers regarding functional requirements and inquiries related to DevOps tools. You are responsible for the maintenance and operation of tools and platforms, as well as the monitoring of automated processes to ensure efficient build and release delivery. Provide support to developers in utilizing CI/CD infrastructure and client tools, such as IDEs. Communicate and cascade updates and changes effectively to Development Teams. Contribute to the global DevOps Unit by gathering, evaluating, and documenting specific requirements, as well as assisting with deployments. Facilitate consensus-building within the department and actively participate in decision-making processes with a voting role.

Qualifications for the role

• (Nearly) finished degree in the field of applied sciences in computer science or similar
• Preferred: experienced developer or DevOps engineer with know-how in architectural design and development lifecycle automation
• Strong understanding of and experience with modern software engineering methods and tools, particularly C++.
• Excellent communication skills with a solution-oriented and consensus-driven mindset.
• Innovative with expertise in quality assurance and release processes.
• Proficiency in both English and German (written and spoken).
• Experience with mechatronic systems (transport systems, robotics) is helpful
