The Supply and Demand (S&D) team is building a data product that provides a comprehensive picture of the commodities supply value chain. The product is a cornerstone of Kpler portfolio as it provides a deep understanding of market dynamics at a country level. The team is operating a complex data pipeline that pulls data from external sources, normalizes, allows human inputs, transforms and finally publishes to various channels.
The team is currently scaling the S&D product by adding new types of commodities and reworking the data pipeline to make it faster, more flexible and more robust.
- Get up to speed with our domain, working independently on tasks with support and collaboration on more complex projects.
- Work alongside other engineers, taking responsibility for the development and implementation of both front-end and back-end solutions based on project requirements and design specifications.
- Help to optimise system performance, maintain features, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and debugging skills with a proactive approach to learning.
- Have at least 2 years of experience as a full-stack developer, including hands on experience with Python, Postgres, and Typescript.
- Have an understanding and commit to software craftsmanship principles.
- Can design and implement RESTful APIs.
- Can implement usable user interfaces.
- Have experience working with our front-end stack: NestJS and VueJS
- Have experience working with our data pipeline tech stack: Airflow, PostgreSQL
- Have experience working with Dataiku
- Have experience with cloud engineering and IaS tools (Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker)
